Bala Bakes is a premium digital storefront for an artisan patisserie, designed to capture the beauty and craftsmanship of custom cakes. Built with Next.js 16 and React 19, it features fluid animations using GSAP and a clean, responsive design using CSS Modules for a highly interactive and appetizing visual experience.
The challenge
Standard e-commerce templates fail to convey the premium, handcrafted nature of custom baking. The challenge was to design a platform with smooth micro-interactions and interactive layout elements that feel as crafted and premium as the cakes themselves.
